The Pepperl+Fuchs Z954 is a three-channel Zener barrier that prevents the transfer of excessive energy from safe areas to hazardous areas. It's made of Makrolon® and can conduct electrical signals in either direction.
The Z954's zener diodes are connected in the reverse direction. It's a quasi-floating system with three channels that have the same end-to-end resistance.
